About FileKivo

FileKivo is a collection of browser-based tools for everyday file tasks. The first release focuses on image conversion, upload-size compression, resizing and turning images into a PDF.

What the tools do

It produces actual downloadable files on your device. Tool pages have working settings, input checks, file-size reporting and download controls. It uses no server-side conversion service and no paid API.

What it does not do

This version does not convert HEIC, turn PDFs into Word or Excel, merge existing PDFs, perform OCR, detect subjects with AI, preserve animations or guarantee suitability for official document or photo submissions. The background editor removes connected plain-colour regions and offers manual correction; it is not a general AI background remover.

Check important files

Keep your original and verify the converted copy. Image exports may change metadata, colour rendering or fine detail. Image-to-PDF rasterises content; it does not preserve searchable text, digital signatures or document accessibility structure.

Use a supported format

Start with a still JPG, PNG or WebP image. The tools create a separate output so you can keep the original. Open the downloaded copy to check its appearance, dimensions and file size.

Background editor: connected-colour removal, erase/restore brushes, transparent PNG export, solid colours, gradients and uploaded-image backgrounds. No AI subject detection; inspect the result. Background-tool output is capped at 2048 pixels on the longest side and 4 million pixels.
